Bee Pollen Collection
1. First, we should know that bees survive on nectar and pollen. Bee pollen is the material foundation for the development of colony. Worker bees bring natural bee pollen back to honeycomb, repeats the same work.
2. During honey gathering, worker bees is stuck by pollen granules. They use pollen brush to collect pollen, pack it into the pollen baskets on their legs. In the meantime, worker bees spread secretion and nectar on pollen brush in order to adhere to pollen.
3. Beekeepers put pollen traps at the entrance. There are many holes in pollen traps, which is just big enough for bees in and out. When flying into honeycomb, bees go through the holes falling over one another. In this way, bee pollen split away off bee legs and stay outside hives.
